son of a gun

01-13-2012

Friday.
Looks as though this blog has been abandoned.
Not so.
I do not tweet and still have the dumb phone which is 4-5 years old.
I can take photos, etc, but it has very tiny memory.
We have a digital camera now.
and a laptop. Whee hoo.
I see 360 visits to my empty profile. Sorry.
Given the incredible loss of privacy, I will not be adding to it.
Happy New Year

Time flies Tempus fugit

WELL !
Here we are October 2007-
Rove is gone- Rummy is gone-Paul W. found other more meaningful employment.
Now we need H Res 333 to reel in more sponsors.
D Kucinich, Ohio..to take care of
Mr C.
PLEASE contact your Rep in the House- send postcards- once/week-
tell your Rep you will vote for him.her only if he supports HRes 333.

Thanks Tom Degan (see the Rant) for your note back in Feb.
I have been very busy- mostly taking care of family-
and reading the Nation and the Progressive.
We actually attended a book signing with Matthew Rothschild in
son of a gun- Bizerkley, CA July '07- Telling us how we have become a
police state. Watching that idiot Tazered in Florida really
blew my mind!!! Yes- he was obnoxious- but why didn't they let the CROWD boo him down- as they were starting to do- and would have accomplished the
same end without the horror ...I felt I was watching a news reel from another time & place-
I was complaining to a friend how frustrating all of this has been- people assemble-
nothing changes. My friend says there are things going on all over the country moving us forward. I don't seem to live there.
At 6 pm I have taken to watching the Simpson's.
We did see all of the episodes of Ken Burns The War-
it was excellent. My mother and aunts sang all those popular songs to me in my infancy and childhood. For years after the end of the War - they were a very happy bunch. All of our family military came home - no wounded.
And they taught us how to Jitterbug...........
I hope to publish blog addresses for our 2 teachers in Japan- they are having a great adventure.

History USA

ON THIS DAY
On Jan. 12, 1915, the United States House of Representatives rejected a proposal to give women the right to vote.

2007
1915 = 92 years ago .............3 ( Three) generations........

see www. alternet.org for the video of speech in the House by D Sen from Seattle-
quoting from articles by Joshua Holland. This speech put - on the record-for the first time- the reason the U S of A invaded Iraq.
Would we drive an SUV/Hummer if we knew a 19 y/o kid from our town will die for it?
Can we turn off lights when we leave a room to save a life?
Can we switch from incandescent light bulbs to keep America free ?
Can we walk or take public transport instead of driving?

Iraq- I believe the new troops should be ordered to build soccer fields in every town in the country- and take with them a zillion soccer balls- surrounding the fields with the new Iraqi Flag..................remember- you read it here first!!!
